COMMUNITY CLUB
Founded in May 2025 by Sensei Gabi of HAITO Karate, our Community Club is dedicated to bringing people together through the power of martial arts, fitness, and self-defence.
We believe that a stronger community is a safer and healthier community. That’s why we created this space—to provide everyone with the opportunity to not only learn valuable skills but also to connect with neighbours, build friendships, and support one another in a positive and motivating environment. To ensure these opportunities are accessible to all, our activities are offered either for free or at a very low, affordable cost.

| Description | Women's Self-Defence Class (18+), taught by Sensei Gabi, free of charge on Tuesday evenings during the school term time at HAITO KARATE Dojo. This class is designed to help women: ✅ Learn practical self-defence skills for real-life situations. ✅ Build confidence, awareness, and quick decision-making. ✅ Improve overall fitness, strength, and coordination. ✅ Train in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. Suitable for all fitness levels — total beginners are very welcome! |

| Description |
"Karate Comes to the Park" is a seasonal programme of free outdoor karate, self-defence, and fitness sessions in a local park in Woodston, Peterborough.
Designed to boost physical and mental well-being, strengthen community ties, and make exercise accessible, it welcomes all ages, backgrounds, and abilities — especially groups facing barriers such as low-income families, women, older adults, and young people. Sessions provide a safe, inclusive, and social environment, encouraging multi-generational participation and greater use of local green spaces. Running for almost two years during autumn, winter, spring, and summer school holidays, the programme offers weekly classes each period, open to beginners and returners alike. |
