A Day to Remember
Last Saturday was a day to remember! Our HAITO KARATE team stepped into the iconic Crystal Palace for the 2nd International BKG Open Tournament in London, and we couldn’t be prouder of our fighters. 🤩 This event brought together over 170 fighters from 42 different dojos and 8 countries, creating an electric atmosphere charged with passion, skill, and the true essence of karate. 🥋
Our squad consisted of six young heroes, with four of them making their debut in a major tournament. Imagine the nerves, the excitement, the adrenaline! And yet, each fighter went out there and gave it everything they had—showcasing the kind of dedication that embodies the HAITO KARATE spirit. Osu! ✨🙌
Spotlight on Our Fighters
First up, let’s give a massive shoutout to Milana Tanavina for clinching a 3rd place trophy! 🏆✨ Her determination was inspiring, and that trophy is a reflection of the hard work she’s been putting in day in and day out. We’re so proud of you, Milana!
Another highlight was David. He fought valiantly, winning his first match and advancing with confidence. Although he faced tough opponents in his 2nd and 3rd matches, David secured an honourable 4th place finish—a fantastic achievement in such a competitive field. True fighting spirit all the way! 🥋🔥
Our brave warriors Darius, Mateo, Devesh, and Calvin didn’t manage to get wins this time around, but what they did show was an unstoppable Kyokushin fighting spirit. They faced every challenge head-on, and even in defeat, they walked away stronger and hungrier for more. Sometimes, the greatest victories are the ones we don’t see on the scoreboard—it’s the courage to step up, the resilience to keep going, and the growth that happens with every fight. You all made us proud! 💪✨
Experience Matters
This was Milana and Calvin’s second tournament, and their experience was evident in the way they approached each fight. The composure, the strategy, and the grit—it’s clear that the lessons learned from their first tournament have taken root.
For Darius, Mateo, Devesh, and David, it was their first open Kyokushin tournament experience. There’s nothing quite like your first major competition—it’s a mix of nerves, excitement, and the thrill of stepping onto the mat against fighters from all over the world. We’re excited to see how they channel this experience into their training and future competitions.
Just Getting Started
The 2nd International BKG Open Tournament was an unforgettable experience, not just for our fighters but for all of us here at HAITO KARATE. This is just the beginning. Our young karatekas have taken their first steps on the big stage, and we can’t wait to see how they grow from here. 🥳🥋🏆
To our fighters: Your courage, dedication, and spirit inspire us every day. We may not have brought home a collection of trophies this time, but what we did bring home was experience, pride, and the fire to keep pushing forward.
Stay tuned, because HAITO KARATE is just getting started, and we’re more motivated than ever to bring our best to every tournament, every fight, and every training session. Osu! 🚀🔥
