Family tickets are online exclusive and will not be sold at the venue. Post deadline (17th October midnight), only single tickets will be available for purchase at the venue on the event day (Cash and Card payments accepted).

Online registration for spectators is closed.

All further tickets will be sold at the venue.

Spectators FAQ for kumite tournament

DATE, TIME, LOCATION
Date: 19th of October, 2024.
 
Time: All participants have to check in, weigh in, show off the sparring kit for approval and sign the forms by the parents/guardian/instructor on the day between 9.00 am and 9.40 am.
 
Location: UNIT 3, Wharf Road Industrial Estate, Wharf Rd, Woodston, Peterborough PE2 9PS
 
Unfortunately, as this event will take place on the 1st floor, we do not have access to wheelchairs.
Spectators Tickets
Tickets: Online tickets can be purchased by the 17th of October at midnight. After that tickets will be able to be purchased only at the venue.
Price: £5 each.
Family Discount: This can be bought ONLY online by the 17th of October at midnight. No family discount tickets are available at the venue on the day.
Bracelets: Visitors will receive bracelets at the venue, mandatory to wear at all times. 
Spectator Limit: No limit on the number or age of spectators.
Behaviour Expectation: Spectators must remain respectful and reasonably quiet throughout the tournament.
Babies/Toddlers: Allowed but must stay respectful, avoid entering the competition area, and not disturb competitors; failure to comply may result in eviction without a refund.
Finish Time and Leave Early
There is no specified finish time, but spectators can freely come and go as long as they have the bracelet given at the check-in.
Videos and Pictures

Guidelines: Allowed but without disturbing competitors or spectators (no phone sounds, flashes, etc.).
Official Media: The photographer will take pictures and videos for HAITO Karate’s social media, advertising, etc.

UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

Refund Policy: Competitors or visitors not showing up will not be issued a refund for tickets.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

First Aid: First aid services will be available on-site for any medical emergencies.

Coaches and Assistants

Coaches: Competitors may be accompanied by coaches, but they must not interfere during the match.

Only one coach per organization is permitted free entry and must register in advance via email at gabi@haitokarate.com

Assistant Roles: Coaches and assistants should support competitors from designated areas and refrain from direct involvement in performances.

Score Display

Real-time Display: Scores and results will be displayed in real-time for participants and spectators to follow.
Transparency: The scoring system will be transparent, with judges’ decisions explained if requested by competitors or coaches.

Judging and Scoring

Criteria: Judges will evaluate performances based on predetermined criteria.
Overview: A comprehensive list of tournament rules and regulations will be provided to all competitors before the event.
Compliance: Competitors must adhere to the established rules throughout the tournament.
Code of Conduct: Respectful and sportsmanlike behaviour is expected; any misconduct may result in disqualification.
Dispute Resolution: Any disputes regarding judging decisions should be brought to the attention of the tournament organizers promptly and respectfully.

Award Ceremony

Attendance: All competitors are expected to attend the award ceremony to receive recognition and prizes.

Prizes: Details regarding prizes and awards will be announced during the ceremony.

Respectful Behaviour: Participants and spectators are expected to remain respectful during the award ceremony not depending on their results.

Applause: Applauding all competitors is encouraged, irrespective of outcomes, to foster a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Post-Event Feedback
Feedback Channels: Competitors and spectators are encouraged to provide constructive feedback on the event through designated channels (email, social media, phone).
Continuous Improvement: Feedback will be considered for future events to enhance the overall experience.

Community Engagement: Foster an online community by encouraging participants to share their experiences and connect through social media.
