Haito Karate operates entirely as a non-profit organisation. All surplus income is reinvested back into the club to improve facilities and training for the benefit of our members.

Safety Policy: Due to the physical nature of Kyokushin Karate, we accept students from age 5 upwards.

We offer a Supported Membership rate for families on low or modest incomes (e.g., Universal Credit, Housing Benefit). This caps total participation costs at £520 per year.

Common questions about our kids karate classes

What is the minimum age for kids karate?
Our kids classes start strictly from 5 years old. Due to the physical nature of the sport, we cannot accept children younger than 5 for their own safety.
How much does membership cost?
After your free 1-week trial, our standard membership is £60 per month. We encourage families to train together and offer a 50% discount (£30/mo) for additional family members.
Do you offer support for low-income families?
Yes. As a non-profit community club, we are committed to ensuring costs are not a barrier. We offer a Supported Membership rate for families on low or modest incomes (e.g., Universal Credit, Housing Benefit). Please contact the Club Secretary in confidence with proof of eligibility.
Is the club open to everyone?
Absolutely. We are open to the whole community without discrimination. We accept and welcome students regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, or other beliefs.
Do beginners need a uniform (Gi)?
No, not for the trial week! Beginners can start in comfortable sportswear (t-shirt and joggers). A Gi (uniform) can be purchased once you decide to join officially.

We are located at Unit 3, Wharf Road Industrial Estate, Woodston, Peterborough, PE2 9PS. We have plenty of free parking available for parents.
