Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our Juniors classes

What is the age range for Juniors?
The Juniors classes are specifically tailored for children aged 10 to 13 years old.
My teen is a beginner or not very fit. Can they join?
Absolutely. We have dedicated Novice sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. You don't need to be fit to start—Karate is how we get them fit! We teach everything from the ground up.
Is Kyokushin safe? Will they get hurt?
Safety is paramount. While Kyokushin is a contact martial art, we prioritize control and discipline. Sparring is strictly supervised, age-appropriate, and requires protective gear. We build them up gradually.
How much does membership cost?
After your free 1-week trial, our standard membership is £60 per month. We encourage families to train together and offer a 50% discount (£30/mo) for additional family members.
Do you offer support for low-income families?
Yes. We offer a Supported Membership rate for families on low or modest incomes (e.g., Universal Credit). Please contact us in confidence to apply.
Do beginners need a uniform (Gi)?
No, beginners can start in comfortable sportswear (t-shirt and joggers). A Gi (uniform) can be purchased once you decide to join officially.
What should they bring to the first class?
Just a water bottle and comfortable clothes. We train barefoot on mats.
Where are your classes located?
We are located at Unit 3, Wharf Road Industrial Estate, Woodston, Peterborough, PE2 9PS. We have plenty of free parking available.
