Twelve fighters, six trophies and a team performance to be proud of — HAITO Karate returned to Peterborough celebrating another milestone for our growing Kyokushin karate club.
Our squad secured two silver and four bronze finishes, with HAITO also placing fourteenth in both the Best Academy and Overall Team ratings at the competition. It was a day that gave our fighters, families and supporters plenty to celebrate.
Six Podium Finishes for HAITO Karate

Congratulations to our six trophy winners:
| Competitor | Category | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Jacob Barker | Under 10, −35 kg | Silver — 2nd place |
| Summer | Under 12, +43 kg | Silver — 2nd place |
| Rebeka | Under 14, +57 kg | Bronze — 3rd place |
| Timi | Under 12, −40 kg | Bronze — shared 3rd place |
| Robert | Under 12, −40 kg | Bronze — shared 3rd place |
| Tauras | Under 10, −30 kg | Bronze — 3rd place |
Each trophy represents time spent training, practising techniques and preparing to put those skills to the test. Seeing our students step onto the podium was a proud moment for everyone supporting them.
There was also a special moment in the Under 12, −40 kg category, where Timi and Robert both earned third place, sharing the podium as HAITO teammates.
Proud of All 12 Fighters
The results deserve celebrating, but so does the effort of every student who stepped onto the mat.
Competing takes courage. Fighters must manage their nerves, make decisions under pressure and keep going when a bout becomes difficult. Every one of our 12 competitors gave their best and represented HAITO with determination.
For those who returned without a trophy, the experience still matters. Competition helps students recognise their strengths, understand what needs more work and return to the dojo with a clearer focus. We are proud of the whole squad and the commitment it took to get there.
A Milestone Just Four Years into Our Journey

HAITO Karate began just four years ago. To see our Peterborough club now achieving these results alongside long-established clubs makes this milestone particularly meaningful.
Alongside our fourth-place finishes at the event, the shared ranking standings show HAITO in joint 14th place with eight points — another encouraging marker of our progress.
As an independent, non-profit Kyokushin karate club, we know how much work goes into building these opportunities. Our students’ achievements reflect their dedication, the support of their families and the training community we continue to build together.
Thank You to Our HAITO Families
Behind every young competitor is someone helping them get to training, prepare for competition and find the confidence to take part.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our parents, families and everyone who supported the squad. Your time, encouragement and belief in our students make days like this possible.
We return to training with six trophies to celebrate, plenty to learn and fresh motivation for the challenges ahead.
Congratulations to all 12 fighters. You have made HAITO proud. Osu! 🥋
