🌟 A Message to Our Students

Dear HAITO Karate & Self-Defence Club Students,

As you approach the significant moment of belt grading, it’s natural to feel a mix of excitement, nerves, and stress. Remember, it’s okay to feel anxious, but it’s also important to convert that energy into enthusiasm and self-assurance. 🧘‍♂️ Take time to relax and find your inner calm. Your hard work over the past months has prepared you for this, and now it’s time to shine and earn that well-deserved belt!

Remember, each belt in Karate represents not just your skill level, but also the journey of growth and learning you’ve embarked upon. As you stand on the cusp of achieving your next belt, reflect on the journey that brought you here, the obstacles you’ve overcome, and the lessons you’ve learned. This grading isn’t just a test of your physical skills, but a celebration of your perseverance, dedication, and spirit. 🌱

🧠 Mindset for Grading

Approach your grading with a focused and composed mindset. Stay positive, envision success, and treat any mistake as a learning opportunity. 🚀 Reflect on your dedication and training; you’re ready to excel. Remember, confidence in your abilities is key.

In martial arts, the mind is as important as the body. A positive mindset can significantly impact your performance. Visualize each technique with clarity, see yourself executing them perfectly, and believe in your training. Remember, each movement in Karate is not just a physical act, but a manifestation of your mental strength and focus. Let your training guide you, and trust in the skills you have honed. 🧘‍♀️

🚫 Rules for Students

  • Stay Until The End: Grading sessions are longer than regular classes; leaving early is not permitted.
  • For Non-Grading Students: Your support and attendance are valuable for learning and morale. 🙌

Adhering to these rules is a reflection of your discipline and respect for the art of Karate. These guidelines are set not only for the smooth functioning of the grading process but also to include a sense of responsibility and commitment among all students.

🥋 Uniform and Essentials

  • Full and Tidy Uniform: Includes trousers, top, belt, and a white, plain t-shirt for girls.
  • Protective Equipment: Necessary for higher belt gradings.
  • Water: Always have a bottle of water with you.
  • Reminder: Missing items = No grading – No Exceptions.

Your uniform is not just attire; it’s a symbol of your dedication to Karate. Wearing it correctly and with pride reflects your respect for the dojo, your Sensei, and the martial art itself. Ensure your uniform is clean, neatly ironed, and worn correctly. This attention to detail demonstrates your readiness and seriousness for the grading.

  • No Babies or Infants: To avoid distractions during the grading.
  • Photos and Videos: Allowed without disturbing the students.
  • Sensei Gabi: Will take official photos for social media and advertising.

We welcome the support and enthusiasm of family and friends, as their presence can be a great source of motivation. However, it’s crucial that this support does not interfere with the focus and concentration of the students being graded. As spectators, your role is to observe, encourage, and respect the efforts of all participants.

🏆 After the Grading

  • Award Ceremony: Sensei will present belts and certificates.
  • Photo Session: Group and individual photos are encouraged.

This is a moment of celebration, not just for those who pass, but for everyone who has taken part. Celebrate every achievement, learn from every experience.

🚨 Unforeseen Circumstances
