On February 17th, 6 students from Greater Peterborough UTC after-school Karate club successfully passed their first grading and earned their yellow belts (10th KYU). The students are Jayd’n, Ashty, Peter, Calvin, Habibah and Riana. They have been training with Sensei Gabi, the owner and main instructor of HAITO Karate and Self-Defence Club, since November 2022.

What did the students learn for their grading?

The students learned the basic techniques of Karate and self-defence, such as punches, kicks, blocks, stances, and movements.

What are the next steps for the students?

The GPUTC after-school club closed due to some changes in the schedule. However, this does not mean that their Karate journey is over. Sensei Gabi has invited them to join her public classes at HAITO Karate and Self-Defence Club, where they can continue to learn and progress in their Martial Arts journey. HAITO Karate and Self-Defence Club offer 8 classes a week for kids, teenagers, and adults at two locations: Hampton and Bretton.

If you are interested in joining HAITO Karate and Self-Defence Club, you can visit their website at haitokarate.com to find out more about their classes, locations, and instructors. You can also book a free 1-week trial to try out their classes without any obligation. The club welcomes students of all ages, genders, sizes, and fitness levels. Come and experience the benefits of Karate and Self-Defence for yourself!
