We could not be prouder of Ayorinde Ogunfuye – AY – who earned the title of Vice-Champion at the Open BKG Full Contact International Knockdown Tournament! 🥈💥
AY stepped onto the tatami with incredible heart, discipline, and the spirit of a true Kyokushin warrior. He won two outstanding fights, displaying tremendous courage, strength, and mental focus. In the final, he faced a stronger and significantly more experienced opponent, yet he fought with honour and determination until the very end.
This wasn’t just competition — AY made history for our club.
A Huge Achievement for Our Young Peterborough Club
We travelled with a team of five competitors, and we returned home with a second-place trophy — an extraordinary achievement for our three-year-old, relatively small Kyokushin Karate club here in Peterborough. 🥋🔥
Every competitor who stepped onto that tatami showed guts, humility, and a willingness to challenge themselves at the highest level of full-contact knockdown karate. You represented HAITO Karate with respect, spirit, and heart. We are deeply proud of each one of you.
